It is my favorite book of Stephen King and it really proves and displays all talent of the author. You will enjoy the action with creative use of plot and excellent characters. It contains a detailed description of each scene and you will be a part of this action.
The story begins with an innocent scene where a newspaper boat is floating into a storm sewer. But there is something wrong. Summer of 1958, something inhabits Derry, a small town in Maine. This something feeds on the children. It may change its shape and it forms the worst children fears. A clown is a favorite shape.
It catches children and uses their fears to devour their bodies. Nevertheless, this summer is different. Seven teenagers have avoided this evil clutches and they meet the horror which lived in the storm drain and they kill it. They have taken a vow which was sealed to come back in case it returned.
Twenty eight years passed and the clown appeared again and the two boys pushed off the other boy from the bridge. Seven children have to return to Derry in order to keep their vow. But one of them made a suicide because he could not meet this evil again and return to that place. The story has flashbacks into summer 1958, the first fight with evil and then one call makes return them into reality.
