The Plant; Parts One & Two.

The Plant; Parts One & Two.The Plant was an attempt in web publishing that, in fact, went wrong. When the first web publication had a success (it was the story Riding the Bullet), the author tried to offer the story in the form of the electronic download. It was expected that after downloading fans would pay $1 for the download.
But soon the author understood that people only downloaded and did not pay, and then King increased the price and lost his readers. This made King put to bed with a shovel. And the readers and fans were upset because they could not find the whole story online. As it was a digital download only, the fans did not have possibility to buy this story at any bookstores because there were no prints of this story.
This story tells about the editor who gets a promising query letter of an author who has penned a book with demonic manifestation. Sending back a letter, Carlos Detweiller, that is the name of the editor, gets an exciting manuscript containing graphic photos of a human sacrifice.
Rightfully frightened, the editor turns to the police, and the investigation is conducted concerning this author. The author is getting mad by such reaction to his manuscript and then he sends Carlos a plant which is called Zenith the Common Ivy.
When Carlos has received the plant, his life turns into a nightmarish roller coaster in which The Plans is sinister and disturbing. This story is written in the form of memos, letters, and other documents. It looks like a reader discovers the story, and this make it more creative.
The Plant is a good work of Stephen King considering its failure in the web publishing. Still it is worth reading, of course in case you will find it.
